Don’t Kill America’s Databook

An interesting op-ed piece on the Statistical Abstract of the U.S. appeared in last Sunday’s Washington Post.  The author describes the importance and usefulness of the Statistical Abstract as well as addresses the proposed budget cuts to the Census Bureau.  These budget cuts would eliminate the Statistical Compendia branch, which produces the Statistical Abstract of the U.S. among other important statistical references sources.
